There are possibly millions of people around the world today cheering former Vice President, Dick Cheney.
The man who sexed up the non-existent weapons of mass destruction; launched massive unrest and violence in the Middle East; and was probably the power behind the throne in the Bush White House has come out with a devastating condemnation of Donald Trump.
In the last US election, it was the moderates who founded the Lincoln Project who led the anti-Trump campaign and – incidentally – inspired the Australian film producer, Bob Weis, to conceive the Australian Truth and Integrity Project.
This time the anti-Trump campaign will include a former deep Red Republican, along with his principled daughter, Liz Cheney.
We may not forgive him for Iraq, but this has to give him a small something to offer at the Heavenly Gates (not that there is such a place, but he may be a believer) if they question why he ought not be in the other place. Here’s what he said:
